Splice joint cranes are those type of cranes where the extra long bridge girders are dismantled into multiple sections and can be joint together again using high tensile machined bolts by a special design specific to splice jointcranes.

 

This design and technique eases out the difficulty, cost moreover high risk factor that is involved in handling extra long girders with no hinderence to their material handling capability. the major advantage of splice joint cranes are the ease to transport them to site locations which otherwise is a pretty difficult task. However manufacturing these cranes require generous years of experience and highly skilled technicians.
